Transpersonal Psychology

The study of transpersonal psychology has been gaining momentum over time. Broadly speaking, it is the integration of psychology and spirituality. Essentially, it recognises the need for a non-dualistic, integrated approach when studying our human condition.

Like all fields of study, transpersonal psychology has branched out to incorporate all sorts of aspects of spirituality, as well as psychology to a point where it can become confusing to the uninitiated as to the specific transpersonal approach that is being adopted by a particular practitioner.

In terms of my own practice, I have worked toward the integration of Christian spirituality and psychology, an approach that is in keeping with the gospel values.

I approach psychology as an aid for us to have a spiritual map that is guiding us toward the fullness of life that Jesus desired for us.
